The U16s play rugby under the RFU New Rules of Play scheme, which promotes participation, involvement and enjoyment for all the players. The game is a fast-flowing form of rugby, with an emphasis on evasion, ball-handling, passing and running including contact rugby, with tackling, rucking, mauling, the scrum and development of the kicking game.
The team and coaches promote the core values of rugby which are teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship. All coaches are RFU trained, are DBS checked and the team has qualified first aiders among the staff.
Training takes place on Sunday mornings 1000-1200 throughout the season as well as visits to other Hampshire clubs and we also attend local rugby tournaments. Year 11 boys are welcome to try us out for four free weeks before committing to join.
Please check our fixtures list on this website before coming to see us. We welcome new players, there is a good chance they will know players from the same school. You will find us on the right hand pitch behind the main pitch as you look out from the club. If you would like more information please contact one of the coaches pitchside for your 4 free sessions.
