Gosport & Fareham RFC are thrilled to announce that two of our talented youngsters, Harry Cromie and Will May, have been selected into Premiership Rugby Under-18 academies! Both players started their rugby journeys with us as part of the Celts, playing mini and youth rugby in a supportive, inclusive environment that encouraged free-flowing, attacking play.
Harry Cromie, a scrum-half, graduated from Crofton School and now attends Bishop Wand ACE Academy, where he is head boy. Harry has progressed through the London Irish DPP/PDG pathway since U14, represented Hampshire U17 and U18 in an undefeated campaign, and played for the London & South Central Academy. His outstanding performances recently earned him a place in the prestigious Harlequins U18 Academy.
Harry starred on his debut today in a thrilling victory over Gloucester 33-29 at Grasshoppers earlier today. Well done Harry!
Will May, a back-row player, completed his schooling at Bay House before moving to Seaford College. A standout in the London Irish U16 Academy and later the London & South Central Academy, Will was recently recruited by the Bath U18 Academy. He has also been part of the Scotland U18 camp. Despite a setback with injury, Will’s leadership qualities shine as head boy at Seaford College.
We wish Harry and Will the very best for the U18 league, where they could even face each other on 19th January! Everyone at G&FRFC is immensely proud of their achievements and excited to follow their journeys. Well done, lads!
